CLOS DE MARO

At the crossroads of climates

STORY

Clos de Maro is located in the commune of Gaja-et- Villedieu, at the heart of the oceanic terroir of the Limoux appellation. Its vineyards extend across five communes, including Saint-Martin-de-Villereglan in Malepère.

Clos de Maro was acquired in 2022.
A winemaking and aging cellar, along with a tasting and sales cellar, have been established on-site.
Each year, large musical evenings are held at the cellar, providing an opportunity to discover or rediscover the estate’s wines in a festive and relaxed atmosphere.

TERROIR

Situated at the foot of the Pyrenees, at an altitude ranging from 190 to 290 meters, this unique terroir benefits from an oceanic microclimate that allows for optimal grape ripening.
More than ten grape varieties are cultivated using organic farming. Chardonnay reigns supreme, while Pinot Black and Chenin serve as its loyal guardians.
Resistant grape varieties, such as Floréal, are planted to reduce the number of tractor passes in the vineyards and minimize the carbon footprint.
