New vineyards:<\/h2>\n

Two new estates joined the Domaines Paul Mas: Domaine de Larzac and the Clos de Maro..<\/strong><\/p>\n

Domaine de Larzac extends over 62 hectares of vines and is found in the commune of P\u00e9zenas. These vines are in the Languedoc appellation, with 20% of them in the \u201cTerroir de P\u00e9zenas\u201d sub region.<\/p>\n

The Clos de Maro is in the commune of Gaja-et-Villedieu, not far from the vineyards of Domaine Astruc in the Limoux region. It comprises 25 hectares of vineyard which have been organically farmed since 2007. These vines now form part of the vineyards of Domaine Astruc.<\/p>\n

New grape varieties:<\/h2>\n

Italian culture is anchored in the philosophy of Jean-Claude Mas and in his vision of wine.<\/strong> Many of his vineyards are reminiscent of great Italian terroirs, but always lacked something Italian in the grape varieties planted there!<\/p>\n

That has been changed now in the next harvest with two Italian grapes: Sangiovese and Montepulciano. <\/strong>The first is a variety originating in Tuscany. Montepulciano is mainly grown in the two Italian regions of the Marche and Abruzzo.<\/p>\n

Development of winery visits at Ch\u00e2teau Lauriga:\u00a0<\/h2>\n

Ch\u00e2teau Lauriga has extended its winery visit offer thanks to 3 apartments which can be rented as holiday cottages. A seminar room has also been created in the space adjoining the tasting cellar. This room will allow us to welcome trade and consumer events at the Ch\u00e2teau.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

In the medium term, Jean-Claude Mas also plans to create 15 hotel rooms in the final wing of the domaine which he has just acquired. The aim will be to be able to offer a complete oenotourism program.<\/p>\n
