STORY<\/strong><\/h2>\n

<\/strong><\/p>\n

The wine estate covers seventy hectares, including sixty-two hectares planted with vines, on clay-limestone hillsides overlooking the Peyne River, a right-bank tributary of the H\u00e9rault. Around forty percent of the estate lies within the protected \u201cLanguedoc\u201d appellation area. Vine density across the vineyard is 4,000 vines per hectare. The northerly wind\u2014known elsewhere as the \u201cmistral\u201d but locally called the \u201cterral,\u201d meaning \u201cwind from the land\u201d\u2014blows frequently in both winter and summer, helping to keep the climate dry. Some of the vines are planted right along the banks of the Peyne River.<\/p>\n

TERROIR<\/strong><\/h2>\n

<\/strong><\/p>\n

The vineyard is planted with a wide range of grape varieties. The plots within the protected P\u00e9zenas and Languedoc appellation areas are planted with Syrah, Grenache and Mourv\u00e8dre for the reds, and Roussanne and Piquepoul for the whites. The estate also includes parcels classified as IGP Pays d\u2019Oc, planted with Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, Marselan, Cinsault, Muscat Blanc \u00e0 Petits Grains, and more.<\/p>\n
